Charging

There is no charge for an account and we never will charge people for access to their own data.

As we introduce more advanced features such as allowing users to search across other peoples' data we may introduce small charges for access to this kind of data. We would rather maintain the site as an advertiser-supported location, so please support us by supporting our advertisers

Privacy

The premise behind this site is to enable data sharing between users so that people can use the wisdom of others to inform their own gardening decisions. To this end, any gardening data that you entered may be shared with other users on an anonymous basis. In future, if there is sufficient interest we may allow the use of the system in a totally private manner but it is likely that this will attract a charge.

We shall never intentionally divulge your contact details to anybody without your express permission. From time-to-time we may contact you by email to inform you of new site features or of changes to these terms and conditions.

We offer no warranty against the eventuality of unauthorised third parties gaining access to your data.

Changes

These terms and conditions may change at any time without notice. If they do so, you shall be informed by email and at the next time you log in to the database.

Abuse

If any attempt to register an account using an automated system, all such accounts shall be deleted immediately and any data entered shall be deleted without hope of recovery.

We expressly forbid any attempt to gain unauthorised access to data on this site. It is only permitted to gain access to data as is offered by links on the site. We define any access of data through direct modification of URLs or HTTP headers as unauthorised.

Such abuse may be punishable by law in the Republic of Ireland and severe violations shall be reported to the relevant authorities.

Ownership of data

Any data entered by users remains the property of the user but GardenDiary.net reserves the right to make use of such data as it sees fit. GardenDiary.net makes no warranty of the fitness of its service for the maintenance of such data but shall make its best effort to ensure the protection of all users' data.
